Free and Dangerous

Enemy Of the State

Free and Dangerous celebrates the 5th epoch of the Bitcoin halving, created in collaboration with Icarus Cards.

The front of the piece features Satoshi’s mugshot—still anonymous—holding a weapon of a different kind: cryptography. More than 15 years after creating a monetary system that challenges banks and governments worldwide, Satoshi remains anonymous, free, and dangerous.

In a nod to the block reward, the irony is clear: the bounty for capturing Satoshi has diminished over time, highlighting Bitcoin’s rise in value alongside the steady erosion of fiat currency.

The back of the card presents the viewer with a choice: the tightening fiat noose, or Bitcoin—sovereign money that can be securely stored directly on the card using Icarus Card technology.

What would you choose?

Submit to a broken system—or remain free and dangerous?
